“My ceremony is at noon, but my reception doesn’t start until 5:00PM!”
Timing
Most Catholic parishes in San Diego are available for weddings on Saturdays at 10:00, noon, and 2:00. Evening wedding Masses are not available as there are scheduled Saturday evening Masses every week. Many couples want to have an evening reception with dinner and dancing. So how do you handle the time gap between a noon ceremony and a 5:00 PM reception start time? If you have a photographer for 8 hours, will he be able to cover both your ceremony and reception within the allotted time? Stephanie Rose Events understands these unique issues and will partner with you to create a fluid and stress-free wedding day.
Should I select a reception venue close to the church?
Location
San Diego has some of the most beautiful Catholic parishes in the country - from the ornate Immaculata on the University of San Diego campus, the historic Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala. Unfortunately most of the parishes do not have ample facilities to host a dinner wedding reception. You will need to select a different location for your reception. How will your guests get from the ceremony to the reception? How do you list both locations on your wedding invitations? How do you get your ceremony decorations to the reception venue? Let Stephanie Rose Events handle these unique issues, so you can be a guest at your own wedding.
